PURE DATA forum~

Just stumbled onto PD the other day - had never heard of the program until very recently. Although I have superficially messed around with Cakewalk and Reason, I am, actually, more into analogue than really into the digital age (attempting to get a simple modular system up and running). But PD seems quite interesting and am willing to give it a try. Found some interesting tutorials on the web and some good literature.

I have downloaded the most recent version, but must say that I have already encontered difficulties. Now for the absolute cretin question of the day - how do I install the program? I can't even find an exe. file? Or where its located (if, that is, there is an exe. file to be installed).

Incidentally, which sections of this forum should I begin reading? There seems to be a massive amount of info here, but I beginning to cringe just by the number of postings!

Any help will be gladly appreciated!
