banned from this forum...
Hi,
when I attempt to connect I get a "your banned from this forum" message which must be ip address related - because I get it even before I log in with my id.
When I circumvent the censors (I live in China) and use different ways and a different ip address I do not get the "banned" message and everything is cool.
I emailed to the admin and didn't get a reply. I don't see any reason to do more or less complicated things to get to this forum and participate, so I want the ban on my ip address lifted.
So who's in charge? How does someone ban me and then doesn't reply to my protests? I do not understand and I'd be glad to hear from an admin here just what is going on.

you were unfortunately sharing an IP address range with quite a few spammers, so in order to try to cut down the spam, i just sent a blanket ban on that range. i'm sorry that it caught you too. it was certainly nothing personal against you.

I understand your reasons now. I was running net barrier for a while and I had several attempts daily to rock my machine - all from northern China. As the ip address is dynamically is assigned you had no other choice.
If the spamming continues please let me know - as censorship is getting worse here I might permanently connect with other ip addresses in the future. Just 'warn' me before you pull the plug again.
